Welcome to the Bloemfontein Children's Choir!

Congratulations in St. PetersburgOur choir is an amateur children's choir consisting of boys and girls from Bloemfontein, South Africa, and surrounding areas, who are between the ages of 8 and 16.

Huibrie Verster founded the choir in 1987 and has been conducting it most successfully ever since. (Click here for her biography.)

Although singing is obviously very important to us, our choir also offers its members - and often their families too - so much more than just a sharing and enjoyment of great voices and music. Our choir is based on the idea that each and every person is special and deserving of love and respect. We strive to give our children not only a rich and diverse education in music but to educate and enrich them by means of cultural experiences and development of essential life skills as well.
